Car misting up.

I noticed a lot of condensation on the windows of my Carrera s, so I thought of water ingress, after investigating I found the carpet part of my door cards very wet at the bottom. After removing the door cards I found the seal had a small gap allowing the water to run down and soak the door card, so I released the bolts holding the inner door skin on and resealed the skin, due to the design of the door and the wide sill the car carpets do not get wet so its a easy fix. Has any other members come across this.

Hi Mick

I have a Cayman S and this morning found I have a wet carpeted door card bottom, I will check out the seals

Hi I’ve also got a Cayman S with the same problem. Window regulator packed up so had the membrane replaced which temporarily solved the problem but wet carpet and misted windows are back. Going to re-seal when I get a chance.

Hi Adam

Took the car to a bodyshop, the laugh of it is the regulator was a Chinese effort, so the glass wasnt sitting right, the previous owner had made a right mess of the door card so all new clips re sealing the door etc etc.....result no leak now thank fully and the glass fitting in the rubber door seals correctly, so now very happy....and just in time to with the weather closing in
