Tel: 01597 828510

Friday 30th August 2019, Saturday 31st August 2019 and Sunday 1st September 2019

https://www.metropole.co.uk/

We hope everyone is well and looking forward to the festive period. Next year we are planning year to head out to Wales for some excellent driving roads and the fantastic company. We plan to meet up at the hotel on Friday evening and will begin the weekend with a meal for everyone to catch up with each other.

On the Saturday we will spending the day out in the cars enjoying the wonderful and beautiful scenery of Wales. We have been promised that the routes are very enjoyable and come highly recommended by other car clubs that have used this venue before. We will be having a lunch stop during the run. The Hotel can offer a simple lunch that we have been told would cost around £10 per person. This will be confirmed nearer the event.

After Sunday morning breakfast, a shorter driving route will be available for those who want to explore the area in the cars. For those not wishing to spend the day enjoying the beautiful scenery of Wales, the hotel Spa is a good alternative. Entry to the Spa is included in the rate. The Spa has an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and gym. Treatments can be booked and it is suggested these are booked in advance to avoid disappointment on the day (Treatment costs are not included in the rate).

The rate for the 2 night stay will be £82.00 per person per night based on a stay in a Classic Room. This includes Dinner, Bed and Breakfast.

The total cost for a couple enjoying a 2 night break would be £328.00 for 2 nights - (Room upgrades are available at an additional cost, please see website or enquire direct with the Hotel for costs and availability)

  • The evening meal menu gives you a choice of 5 starters, 5 mains and 5 desserts, which is changed daily.

  • Breakfast is a hot and cold buffet.
Booking will be direct with the hotel on 01597 828510 quoting R7 PCGB WOTY. They will require a £20.00 non-refundable deposit per person to secure each individual bedroom reservation, please see below the hotels cancellation policy below for group bookings:

Hotel Cancellation Policy; Deposit is non-refundable. Individual reservations cancelled within 4 to 7 days prior to arrival are charged at 60%. Thereafter any cancellations received within 72 hours prior (4pm 3 days prior) to arrival are charged at 100% of the booking value. Any non-arrivals, will be charged for in full. All charges, except deposits, are subject to our not re-selling any released accommodation.

If you would like to join us, then book directly with them on 01597 828510 quoting R7 PCGB WOTY. Then please let us know that you have booked either by email or on the forum.

Demand for the WOTY has been high in previous years so we suggest that you book early to avoid disappointment.

Please post in the thread when you have made a booking.

Thanks

Matt & Dean

Hi all, I'm booked on. The lady who took my booking was very efficient and after quoting R7 PCGB WOTY, she added our room to the group booking. I had a look at the routes they have already pre-planned on their website...... The driving looks epic! We look forward to seeing everyone there...

We have done the Metropole several times with the region and the register. You might find that a visit to Abbey Cwm Hir which is about 6 miles away will be of interest to your members for a Sunday Morning. The tour takes about two hours, highly recommended.

Hi, They were all great cars, but didn't keep them long enough, kept changing them :). I've had the Boxster nearly six years so that speaks volumes. However a Lotus Exige S3 wouldn't go a miss in the future :).
