Hi Mark and Wendy

Welcome, and hope to see you at a club night or other event; I too have Impreza Turbos and STI in my past and now have a 987S

Graham

Hi, thanks for the warm welcome. I always preferred my turbos to the STI I had. Always felt the STI was too heavy, it did have serious road presence though. But oh, the EVO VI Tommi, what a car :).

I too preferred my Turbo with I had for five years after buying it new in 1998 to the STI which was new in 2003. It had the Prodrive PPP so it was quick but it never handled right and felt quite uneasy at high speed. Numerous trips to the dealers trying different things never got it right so got a year old BMW M3 (e46) which was great until BMW Harrogate crashed and wrote it off whilst they had it in for service.
Thsts when the Boxster arrived which is hugely better than any of the other cars.
