So after 6 years of ownership my 997 GTS is going - it’s been a fantastic car and never let me down : an emotional time when she departs next week ??
but on the bright side she’s being replaced with a 991.1 GT3 with 10,000 miles so that will ease the pain??
will try to post some pictures on collection

Are you trading the GTS? Where are you buying from? What colour is the GT3?

Exciting times. congrats.

I had some good offers on the GTS from good independents including Paragon but during discussions someone offered to buy privately which worked out well all round.
GT3 car is white with 10,000 miles , the coliur I was torn over and not sure at first , but i have 2 black and a blu grey car and really fancied a change even if my wife thinks it’s too bling.
I’m buying from an OPC : not my usual centre and I’m only getting to know them, but the car has just had its major service and has Porsche warranty until Nov 2020 and has a very comprehensive spec of course with axel lift .
ive gone for the 18 way adjustable sports seats as i don’t have the back of a 20 year old any more and it’s got cruise control - i will track it but only a few times a year at PCGB events at most , and I figured that it may have had an easier life than one that’s got clubsport rollcage and harness.
thanks

Sounds fab Tony. A pal of mine went from 997 GTS to 991 GT3. He loved his GTS and loves his GT3 too.

Many Congratulations Tony, I'm nearly doing the same, I'm parting company with my 997 Carrera 4s to take up ownership of a 991 GT3 Black with only 5000 miles, can't believe I'm picking it up on Friday

All the best

Steve

I went from a 997 GTS to a GT4 and wish I’d kept The GtS .... such a great all round car, whereas the GT4 was too one dimensional and mikesge sensitive which was a shame, as ever really used it on track where it should be used due to 10% excess if I made an insurance claim, which is standard practice.

They are both great cars but I get what you mean - for me with 53,000 on the clock it seems like a good point to sell and it had only lost £12,000 in depreciation over that mileage and 6 years .
must say the GT3 has frazzled my brain it feels hard wired !

Hi Tony, collected on Friday as planned, drive back to Scotland was no problem until we hit Glasgow where the weather just deteriorated badly, driving in dark in the pouring rain, certainly focuses the attention. Super delighted with the car though, I loved my 997's & i thought they were pretty damn fast, however the 991 GT3 just takes things to a whole new level. Fingers crossed this is going to be a short winter. How are you enjoying yours?

Cheers

Steve

Steve
great looking car - the wheel contrast colour looks spot on too IMO .
Yes , like you say a real step on , the engine but the whole theatre of experience as soon as you turn the key and move off - even at mid pace the speed and noise and sensation as the PDK moves up through the box is outrageous .
ive booked in to get mine PPF wrapped before I get any blemishes on the paintwork.
enjoy your car
Tony

Thanks for the comments Tony, I will be getting PPF applied also front wings bonnet & front valance. Been quoted around £1500
