Lambda Sensor's

Just returned from holiday and during my first journey in over two weeks on came the engine light, anyway to cut a long story short when it was hooked up to the computer it stated that the two lambda / oxygen sensors fitted before the first CAT were dodgy.
I had these replaced buy an independent Porsche garage and obviously while on the interweb looked up the price of the sensors but wondered if any body new how long they take to fit ?
I am guessing from the final bill of £500 minus the price of the sensors approx. £240 that hey have charged me about 3 to 4 hours labour !! I thought this was a bit steep but is it right. Don't want to keep taking the car there if they are taking the p**s.

It is worth asking them what the labour hours are and if more than 1hr per side why?
We often find that the sensor is hard to remove and it can pull out the threads. You are then into retapping, or worse, using inserts.
Kind Regards Lee Jones

Phone the local OPC, they will give a book time (or search for the book time) at least that will give you a basis of the cost if everything was in perfect condition regarding seized etc..
