Hi, just bought a wonderful 2008 997.2 Carrera S, fantastic car which exceeds my expectation, it is fully loaded so i have all the toys, pdk, memory sports seats, bose upgrade, sports, sports plus. I am happy to join the GB club as a proud new porsche owner.
I do have ever have an intermittent fault, I drive the car and all is well, PCM and Bose works wonderfully, everything is fine, then after I stop and restart the car the sound does not work (occasionally), there is a dull muffled low base rumble from the rear which sounds like just one sub woofer is working, does not matter what source I am using, switch the car off and return to it after for example 1 hour and it works fine. Only driven the car over 3 or 4 days and it has happened after each long journey of say a hour or more, but I am not sure it is duration related, it has always been fine when I come to the car on a fresh day. Perhaps it is heat related?
the specialist garage Ashgood who have been wonderful throughout the purchase have offered to replace the Amp, but I am not sure if it is a amp fault, a basic search suggests people are unsure, maybe a faulty fibre connection rather than faulty amp, but not much on line.
Can anyone help me and suggest where the fault lies ?
thanks
