911-966 seats to Cayman S

Hi all I would like some advice on whether sports seats from a 911-966 would fit my 2006 Cayman S (runners / electrictronics ect ) thanks Mark

Mark,

I think that you mean 996 seats, they aren't so good as the 987-997 Sports seats but I guess you have a pair in mind, my son has a 996 C4 and a Boxster 987S I'll see if we can take some measurements, it may be a few days before I can get back to you on this.

Checked and my son says yes they should swap over as they use what appears to be the same rails or just use the 996 rails but the plugs are different so one side will need rewiring and neither of us know how many pins the plug/socket have, 996 seats use a spring to raise and move slightly forward for rise and fall, 987/997 has the pump up and down lever, if you want sports seats the 987 version would be no problem but may be difficult to track down.
