987s Front Fog Lights Not Working

Hi

I’m a relatively new Member And have been an owner of a 987s 05 for about 18months and love it. After a recent MOT it has been pointed out that the front fog lights are not working. My question is are the fog lights standard on all models? if they are, any idea why they are not working, the light on the switch on the dash comes on and the side lights work fine.

I would start by checking the fuses and relays first then the bulbs after that you will need an electrician to trace the fault

I'm a bit surprised you haven't had bulb failure warnings. You would get a warning for a headlight, side light, brake or indicator bulb, but I'm not sure about the fog lights.

The front fog lights on a 987.1 don't have fuses or relays. The lights connect directly to the Front Control Unit. Definitely check the bulbs first. The fog lights are prone to leaks, so it might be some corrosion on the terminals. While the lights are disconnected, check you are getting a feed to the connector. If you aren't, best get a check done with a PIWIS tester.

Thanks for the info

I have removed bulbs today and it looks like the filament has gone. I have ordered new bulbs so hopefully all will be ok !!!

Thanks Guys
Bulbs change and all is good. Although it seems there isn't a bulb failure warning light for the front fogs.
