Quite pleased with these, I know 18"s will get stick from some but fancied trying a set. I want to get it outside now for some better pics! (weather and obstructions preventing me at the moment)

Look good to me. Will they clear the wheel arch though?

I think they will just clear but it is close. The Bridgestone tyres currently fitted (265) are actually quite wide in the sidewall the way the rim protection is designed in. I have heard it said before the N-rated bridgestones are wider than the non n-rated ones of the 'same' size. Worse case the arches need some work anyway so I could always mod them slightly. The fronts are 235. I haven't worked out the offsets yet relative to the originals, they were a fair price and local so I decided to just try them!

Thanks,
I had 5mm shims on the front so the 996 wheels I had on there cleared the hub centre, I haven't tried these without the shims. The rears I think are going to be sitting 12mm further out so 265 on 9" rims might be too much for the arches I could drop to a 255 tyre though,

Like those they look nice and tidy, easy to clean, unlike these that i have hanging around

I know its on stilts, just come off the jacks and not moved,

like to see some shots of it outside, when the sun comes out, and i see the saratoga box in the boot

I've got 265 N rated Michelins on 10" wide rears on my turbo and they clear easily. I think you've got too much offset, unless you're going for the stretched tyre look Bruv [:D].

Actually look okay, I do not generally like non period wheels on a 944, I bet it won't drive as nice as the originals though.

I tried these on a 968, but they were too "fidgety", followed ruts and cambers too easily, gave a harsh ride and needed constant steering adjustments. They did however offer very stable and better braking which was due to the front 8" rim and lower profile sidewall compared to the better 17" (Road Handling) wheel & Tyre sizes on the 968 (Front 7" 205/50/17 & Rear 8.5" 235/45/17)

Like the five spokes they are more in keeping with the era, but i do like the BBS classics as well, i could never afford a set of classics, so the 996/boxster wheels were a bit of a bargain so i grabbed them

My old track wheels on the Turbo had 285's on the rear and they cleared with no issue even at a heavy lean angle when pushing on. It will all depend on the offset of your wheel, I do like the look of the chunky 5 spokes [:)]

I agree, they are probably my favourite of modern Porsche wheels. I'm note sure on a 944 though, if I'm honest. Perhaps a better picture will sway me ;-)

Thanks for all the comments, Look good on the 968, Thanks Roger, comments noted though. I have Delrin bushes in the front of my wishbones and MO30 rear caster mounts, so will be interesting to see how it behaves. Paul, offset is ET43 on the rears so they are sitting further out. Waylander yes saratoga is in the car original in the boot. Hoping to have some time in the next few months to do some actual work on the car rather than just collecting bits.

As I had it outside, and with some energetic launches there was no rubbing here is another photo - hopefully only one this time!
