Hi. Away from home at the moment and heater not working, cars booked in on Friday for investigation. Until then any advice during this cold snap welcome...engine temp 90deg , fans all working, temperature adjuster ramping up and down on digital readout, air vents i.e. Windscreen, face and footwell selecting ok. Only cold (very ) coming into cabin Cheers

Pesky changeover valve I expect. Very common issue. There are a few of them in the car carrying out various functions. There was a recall at some stage at which point my car had four replaced unfortunately that didn’t stop one failing for me recently but that was replaced under warranty.

Thanks for the reply...car with OPC today and same fault as above...new part ordered and collection arranged for tommorow....be glad to get back in a warm car!

I have OPC warranty and the valve replacement was completely covered. So if you do have warranty make sure they cover it too! The various faults attributed to these valves feature often in Porsche forums - clearly a fault on which they should action a more thorough recall campaign. Especially as my OPC pointed out that my faulty valve had overheated and partially melted......a potential fire risk? My replacement valve was apparently a ‘Mark 3’ version so they accept the originals we’re not fit for purpose and I believe there are 8 of them in a 991.1
