Hi buying a Cayenne Diesel S. It's coming with Turbo 21 Wheels and thin tyres. Which looks lovely but would prefer a less aggressive tyre wheel. The roads were I live are terrible.

What combination should I go for?

Thanks

Des i have Pirelli Scorpion ice & Snow on mine in 19" . Great tyres in winter ideal in snow. Originally i was going to just use them for winter but given i do low mileage i keep them on all year. 19's are a better bet than 21's . 18's even better . I have a spare set of 19's that i may as well sell (given i leave the winters on year round) , Not sure how much they are worth , they have old summer tires on. £400 or so i expect. Let me know if you're interested.Text or phone.

I use all season tyres on the Macan which wear well and this saves the hassle of switching wheels twice per year, storage costs etc.
Should be ok until we get three months solid of heavy snow/ice.

I also have all season on tyres on my Macan. Have you had any experience on snow with your car?
I will be taking mine to the Alps in January, I have always had a winter set on my previous car and they were great.
Any thoughts gratefully received.

Mike

I've never tried them in deep snow/anger. Soon after we got the car we had to travel 30 miles on a dual carriageway, late at night around Christmas, with a few inches of settled snow, passing various other cars with confidence.

Thanks David

That gives me confidence for the Alps, I will not be out if the snow is too deep!

Hi everyone thanks for your input. I spoke to My local OPC Parts manager and confirmed for a 958.1 Cayenne Diesel S is recommended 19" Rims 8.5J and 59 Offset. So just been looking on e-bay and found a set with nearly new General Grabber AT tyres ......

OK ... Grabbers off .... Pirelli Scorpion Winter 265/50/19 110V NO rated.

Thanks to Porsche East London for the switch and advice.

Agree Laurence great tyres. Will change back to 21" rims and Michelins hopefully end of March before long toad trip.

I’m running a set of 18” Cayenne S winter wheels with Pirelli Scorpion winter tyres. I have just sold the car so they are going up for sale. They have TPMS fitted for a Cayenne from 2015 onwards. Tread depth is about 5mm plus all round. I also have a set of genuine roof bars, rubber floor mats, boot liner and luggage net for sale. Let me know if you’re interested.
