Hi
Pete Jones from South Yorkshire whom some of you will know has come across a pub, The Boat at Hayton near Retford, in a nice canal side setting, with a good car park and excellent food, where the landlady would love to have car clubs visit. Pete has invited some Porsche owners to meet up on Sunday 28th October for a late Sunday lunch (after 2.00pm when the pub quietens down) or just for a drink and chat.
This isn't a PCGB event but Pete would be delighted if R7 members would join the gathering. It is an ideal opportunity for PCGB members, especially from the south of our region to get together with other Porsche owners, including potential members. Pete has contacted Rod Stormes, the Lincolnshire RO and invited any R4 people who would like to join us.
If you would like to join us for lunch please let me know so that we can make sure that The Boat staff are prepared for us.
For anyone putting their car away over Winter, this may be an ideal last outing.
If there is enough interest in meeting for a drive down there from Porsche Leeds I'll put a route together, perhaps picking others up enroute.
The weather forecast is ideal, clear skies and sunshine albeit a little cool, max 10c. We hope some of you will join us.
Regards
Roger

Ill see how the morning pans out with a few early commitments I have but should be able to make it up for a drink and a chat.
As a new member and owner it will be nice to meet some other members!
Coming from lincs R4.

Thanks for the heads up Roger!

Cheers
