Sponsored Hike

Some of you may know that I help out with one of our local Cub packs (1st Stokesley Dragoons) and we recently visited the Cleveland Mountain Rescue HQ in Great Ayton.

Our Akela decided that our pack would do a sponsored hike to thank them for having us and help raise funds and I (foolishly) volunteered to join in!

So, on Sunday November 4th, I will be hiking, along with Cubs and Leaders, from Great Ayton, to Captain Cook's Monument, across to Roseberry Topping and finishing up back in Great Ayton. Apparently, the distance is 10km with a climb of 400m.

Hopefully I will be able to complete it without calling on the services of the Mountain Rescue!

If anyone would like to sponsor me please can you let me know and hopefully I will collect any sponsorship money at the November meeting, assuming that I have finished the hike by then.

Thanks,

Simon

Morning Simon

Good luck with your walk, we've done this one a fair few times and it is very enjoyable. We will be more than happy to sponsor you although we won't 've able to get to the meeting ( babysitting in Leeds that day ) Could you take a cheque or let me know bank details?

Moira

Hi Moira,

Please can you make the cheque payable to “1st Stokesley Dragoons”.

Thanks again,

Simon

Will do Simon, I can give the cheque to Greg at the OPC on Saturday or I could give cash if that's easier for you?

Moira

I don’t mind Moira, either will be fine as all of the sponsor money collected will go through the Cubs account.
