Interesting video comparing Michelin Pilot Sport 4, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and Cup 2 tyres here,
Might assist anyone thinking a replacement is due shortly.
Regards,

Clive

Thanks Clive, really interesting,

In July in my 911.1 Turbo S on Pirelli P Zero's I broke the existing local sprint record for my class of road car.

I changed to the Pilot Sport 4S and in August drove to Le Mans and had a very enjoyable track day without the tyres going off unlike my previous Pirellis. Road use fine there and back some motorway but also twisty national roads.

In September I broke my sprint record again by 0.4 seconds with two runs the same time showing consistency of the Pilot 4S

I have never been happy with the Pirellis, finding them twitchy on the track but OK on the road, my main complaint being high wear compared with Continentals and Bridgestones on my previous 997 turbo.

The 4S has really worked for me but if I did not track or sprint the 4 seems a bargain (depending on pricing).
Cheers
Michael
