Hello from one Mark to another!

Welcome to R10, which I hope you will find is THE region to be in! We are a sociable bunch, and quite active.

I hope you find the car of your dreams, but meanwhile, come along in whatever you are driving at the moment. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Best regards.

Mark

Hello Region 10

As a brand new member to PCGB I wanted to introduce myself and say hello. Whilst I don’t yet own a Porsche I’m a long-time fan, and I’m hoping the knowledge and experience of the club will help with my car search as well as being a place of fun and friendship.

I’ve not yet settled on a particular model but I’m (currently) leaning towards a 993.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello - I look forward to meeting you at an upcoming event.

Cheers,
Mark

Thanks for the warm welcome. A prior engagement means I can’t make the DW open day but I’ll be sure to come along to an event ASAP.

Regards,

Mark

Hi again Mark,

If you are around tomorrow and can make an early start, it looks as if 991JAW needs a navigator for the R10 Rally. You could get in touch with him via a personal message on this forum, unless he sees this post first...

Today’s update: Deposit placed on a lovely 996 C4S. Obviously not a 993 that I was originally looking at, however I fell in love on the test drive and I feel it’s a good mix between classic & modern.

Collection date is TBC but it’ll be in time for a December meet.

Excited is an understatement!

Well done, Mark - enjoy the excitement of looking forward to your new Porsche!

If you can make it, come along to our next meeting at Sharnbrook Hotel, 10 November.

I realise you may not have your Porsche by then, but it’ll be a great opportunity to meet all our friendly region members who can give you some useful tips for the future [;)]... we should be able to make your experience even better - it’s what the Club’s all about[:)]

Hi Mark

I am hoping to make the monthly meet on the 10th, being my first one.

Do most people have a meal, and if so do you need to book or just order on arrival?

I cant make Xmas partyon the 8th Dec, but shall be at the Porsche event on 9th Dec @ Bicester Heritage.

Regards

Andy

Hi Andy. Glad you can come to the meeting. A few people like to lunch after the meeting, but it doesn’t always happen. I’ll do it this time, and I will put up a new post now with a relevant heading to encourage it.... it might just be you and me, but I doubt that! We can let the hotel know when we get there though.

Cheers.

Mark

I’d love to be at the meet, however it’ll likely be the day I collect the car! If that changes I’ll let you know.

Hi all what is the latest we could arrive at Porsche Solihull this saturday. Wife is working till 10:30 am
