PCM problem

New to using the forum so apologies if protocol isn't right.
I have a 2010 Cayman S Gen 2 987 and late last year had the PCM software updated to include the 2015 maps at a cost of £290, essentially to go from a 5 digit post code system to a 7 digit. Ever since the upgrade the PCM has had a habit of re-booting itself after 5 mins or so. It was starting to do it more frequently so I took it to OPSC and they charged me a further £130 for apparently "upgrading the software from version 2.24 to version 3". Now, admittedly I dont do much milage and I know I should have taken the car back to OPSC sooner but it does stick in the claw a bit that I have had to pay for a software update so soon after having the software updated last year. Is this a problem suffered by others? Had I known that a fully working upgrade would cost £420 I might not have bothered.....

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum. No protocol problem but have moved this to the Cayman forum where you are more likely to get some replies!
