I had a 968CS back in 1992 loved it but it was red.... Not sure about the blue. However if it floats your boat... Why not? They are lovely cars.

It’s not my cup of tea with your colour Car ect I love the 968 with a rounded 5 spoke as I nearly bought a white in CS before I bought my 944 turbo, but if you like the combo then great we’re all different.

for me if they were sprayed matalic silver they would go allot better with the blue or if a bit Leary a brown gold goes great with blue

the wheels was the question

they are are just for an alternative style, I don’t like black cars or black wheels

and black wheels on a black car are the worst

the car came from the factory with 17” Cup1 and they will always stay with the car

i thought they looked quite good in grey and silver but they need a refurb so any colour is an option

time for a bit of photoshop

They are lovely wheels but for me ,they don't in my head equate to the car-stupid comment I know-but I suppose one gets used to certain combinations.

However they won't stop the car going well & it's your choice.🤔

A 968 looks best on 17" Cups, or the turbo 18" Speedlines. Never been a fan of multi spoke split rims off another model.

Looks ok. Gives a more updated look, if that's what you are after. Car looks great. :)

If you're happy, I wouldn't give a monkey's what others think.

Well, they look OK to me...are they 18" or 17"? I agree with the comment that single colour would look more "in period" with the car, but a 968 always looks good (biased opinion!)

Paintwork looks great, which blue is it?

I am not worried about what others think but I was just interested in the consensus

i have owned it for 5 years it’s cobalt blue with classic grey interior

i have a set of 17” cup1 two of which were on the other side of the car when it took the foto

i have a picture of the car with Cup2 on it somewhere

i quite like the grey centres they came in that colour, they were a 3K option for a boxster S

still making up my mind what to do with them, keep or sell

Car looks lovely-always loved Cobalt Blue= Mine was Dove Blue and on Cup 1s.

I think they make it a bit more modern looking-but at the end of the day a very personal choice.

Would be happy to use them as a winter wheel and silver with a polished rim and darker centre would be my choice.

I just think the car's design is suited to the options availableon them at the time. That gets me in trouble with people who add newer options like clear lenses or modern wheels, but it never sits well on the cars to my eye.

Changing the colour of original wheels is a different thing, so another shade of grey might not look bad. I'd still say that the blue looks best with the original silver though.

Great looking 968! In my opinion (which is of zero importance and its your car so if you like them thats the only opinion that matters) I think the wheels look a bit to busymodern for a 968. Might look better if totally silver or on a grey 968?

No it’s cool, not sure I would want them all silver, but I’m thinking darker silver rims and the centres a little darker

Personally I like the look of the wheels, my only reserve is that they are 18's, and my one experience of a 968 (admittedly cab rather than coupe) on 18's was very negative - heavy steering, tramlining and hard suspension on 225 fronts and 245 rears. If they were 17's I'd have no hesitation in saying they look great, and if the ride is good keep them. As you have yet to get the required spacers and try the ride compared to your 17" Cups, I - as no doubt you also do - reserve judgement.

Ordered spacers yesterday, they arrived this morning 22 hour delivery not shabby at all Royal Mail

not sure I will get chance now for a week
