November Club Night - Tuesday 6th November 2018

I am very pleased to announce that Stuart Turner has agreed to be our guest speaker at the November Club Night which will be held at the Little Hay Golf Complex, Bovingdon HP30DT. Older members may be familiar with Stuart Turner’s career but to give you a quick overview, he co drove for a number of well-known drivers competing in events such as the Mille Miglia and Monte Carlo rallies. He later worked at Castrol before coming Competition Manager at Ford and led the incredibly successful rally team when the Escort was totally dominant in the sport. He also ran the Advanced Vehicle Operation factory making Escort Mexicos and RS 2000s.

I have heard him speak on a couple of occasions and found him to be humorous as well as extremely knowledgeable. Stuart does not want a fee for speaking but has asked for donations to the charity that he supports which is the Jackie Stewart charity "Race Against Dementia” so please bring a few pounds with you to donate to this good cause. The evening will commence at 7.00pm and Stuart will speak at around 8.00pm. I look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.

Thanks go to Stuart Turner for making last night's club evening one of the most successful ever. Over 80 people were there to hear Stuart talk about his amazing career in motorsport. Despite his advancing years he gave a brilliant account of his experiences and was both informative and humorous.

Thanks to the generosity of PCGB members in attendance, we were able to raise £400 for Jackie Stewart's charity Racing for Dementia which Stuart asked us to support as he did not wish to take a fee for the evening.
