Well here we go everybody, it's the start of the Sunday morning breakfast meetings. I have at the moment got three venues organised, one for this month, one for November, miss out December and one for January.

At present most are in the area local to me but when I have exhausted my list of contacts I will ask if anybody has any recommendations for where the meeting could be held.

The first two breakfasts are at golf clubs. I myself am not a golfist but they are both good venues with excellent car parking and nice scenery. I have arranged for them to start at 10.00am. HOWEVER- the January meeting will need to start at 8.30 so that will really get us up and out early. The reason behind this is that the restaurant being used is relatively small and Sunday morning is their busiest time. The owner however has agreed to open at 8.30 am for us for a private sitting before the general public arrive at the opening time of 10.00 am.
Would members please let me know which breakfasts they would like to attend as it is imperative that I let the restaurants know numbers involved.

21 October 10.00 am The Manor Golf Club, Bradford Road, Drighlington, BD11 1AB.

25 November 10.00 am Cleckheaton and District Golf Club, Bradford Road, Cleckheaton, BD19 6BU

27 January 2019 8.30am The Garden Coffee Lounge, Croft Farm, Clough Lane, Hightown, Liversedge, WF15 8AD

I have also an excellent Vegetarian Indian restaurant available if anybody fancies a curry night. Dont be alarmed by the vegetarian bit as the food is award winning and absolutely spot on with flavours that you have never experienced before. Please let me know your thoughts.

Hoping to receive your feedback soon.

Cheers,

Chris

Hi Chris,

As these are close to me I’d like to think I’ll make it along.
Curry night would be good too as always wanted to try the very curry house you have in mind ??

Are you at Club night next week?

Mike

Chris this all sounds lovely and we would love to go to the Indian Restaurant too. Mark is away on the 21st but Dan and I will be there for breakfast. I am just wondering if you may want to consider changing the date on the January one? The New Year dinner is the evening before. More details to follow but it will be at the Grange Hotel in York again.

Hi Carol, yes should be able to change the date as there is plenty of time to go. It would be better for us actually as we get home from Bali on the Saturday night so will be shattered.

So heads up everyone the date for the January Brekki will probably be changed. Will look into this and post an alternative date later this week.

Sounds good Chris. I can make the Oct 21st one. November no go as away working.

Did you consider JEM's for s future one!?

Can't commit to these as yet but just wanted to say great idea and I hope its successful.

I always wondered why there wasn't member arranged ad hoc stuff posted up. Shame we're into Autumn now, I'd certainly be interested in breakfasts, drives, dinners etc.

Hi Chris. We are good for Oct and Jan. Would also be interested in the curry night. Thanks for organising these events.

Hello Chris
we would love to join you & Linda for the Brekfast meetings in Oct & Nov, so you can count on us to be ther.
Regards,
David & Lorraine,

I hope to get to these mornings but the 993 will be put away at the end of October. I am planning to SORN for the first time, have not managed to use the car for the last few winters so I am going to remove temptation.
Chris

Hello Chris,
Put us both down for the 21 October please, we cannot make November as we are abroad on holiday.

Thanks for organising.

Hi,
Are these just meets or are there drives after breakfast?

I'm a new member so not totally sure what these events entail!

Thanks

Hello m8,
This is a new event and at the moment is just a breakfast meet to get us up and about on a winter Sunday morning!!
Perhaps people may want to discuss and suggest a drive out before the Brekki or just have a natter on the day and decide what to do then.
Someone has also mentioned Jems Speed Shop for Brekki which is on my radar for future months along with other possible venues that I have yet to approach.

Cheers,

Chris

Chris....Really good choice at the Manor yesterday and well done on the organisation side. You will be a proud owner of a clip board next time rest assured!

Tow for Cleckheaton please for me at end of Nov...Mark G
