May I be the first to post a message on this forum.

On the 5th September I was asked by Porsche Cardiff if I would like to pay a deposit on a 992, from that day they were taking orders.

I have paid a deposit for a 992 Carrera 4S, I wish they were taking orders for GTS. By the time it will be delivered around March mine will be two years old, and do not want to wait another 2 years maybe for a GTS.

There is no spec gone it and the deposit is refundable.

Hi there, did they confirm the 4S's would be delivered around March ? I have spoke to a dealer that said the S's would be delivered summer 2019 and the 4S's would be delivered 2020. I am planning to put a deposit down soon ideally I would prefer a 4S but didn't want to wait 2 more years.

No they did not confirm the 4s will be delivered in March only the 2S, since then it has been announced that the 2S version will be a wide bodied, that was my main criteria going for a 4S. I don't know why the 4S was quoted to you for a two years, if that was the case I should imagine the GTS will be out by then.

Interesting deposits were being taken ahead of the launch. I thought that was frowned upon by Porsche Cars UK.
