Is this a good price for a 997.1 Turbo from a Porsche Dealer?

That link doesn’t work for me. Is it the GT silver tiptronic in Tonbridge? If so i would be concerned with the lack of Sport Chrono Package as many regard that as a must have and therefore likely affects the value.

I would agree that a non Turbo without Sports Chrono would certainly affect the price
But, Couldn't you add sports chrono as an upgrade with the benefit of not having the wart on the dash?
I seem to recall it became an option later on.

Not sure about Gen1 but you can retrofit ‘sport mode’ to Gen2 cars. Had it done to my previous C4S. Gives you the throttle maps and sport / sport+ mode buttons. I would check if it is available for the Gen1 and ask them to add it to the deal (easy software job and button panel change for them) was about £800 for me so it probably costs them £4-500 which should be an easy yes on a car of this price. Wouldn’t want an auto car without it.

It is the Turbo, link updated and does have a sport button but not the Chrono clock, could this have been added afterwards or specced that way? First owner was Martin Brundle so maybe a special order?

Could have had Sport Mode retrofitted then. Ask them they will see it on the cars record. If that is the case I’d snap it up!

You could always tweet Martin and ask ????

Surely its the Tiptronic gearbox which marks the price down a bit? Otherwise it has a nice spec IMHO. Btw I have a 997.2 Turbo PDK in the same GT Silver colour (which followed a 997.1 Turbo Manual) and I think it looks fab as well as still looking good when its dirty. I have Sports Chrono in my car but I dont think I'd miss it if I didnt. The Turbo engine is mighty enough

That's an astonishing price for a turbo, especially as it's from an OPC and barely run in. It's a steal!

Link via Autotrader still says circa £49k and last week was £51 when I test drive it it was £53k even though the Porsche site said £54k. Still cheap..
