PCM2 SatNav upgrade

Hi,

I am wondering about upgrading my SatNav with something a bit more up to date. I would like to keep it looking standard, but with more modern features DAB, BlueTooth, etc.

I have concerns about this as I have the Bose system fitted & i have no idea how optical system would be compatible with modern technology. Has anybody done something like this to their car?

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane,
I believe there is an article somewhere, that Richard Hamilton has done in the tech guides, he certainly has provided info in some posts, with a quick search

This was in a very recent thread, https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/FindPost/1007581 as a cost effective easy solution for Music, that required no work or head removal, doesn't help with the satnav etc though. Having thought of doing something similar myself, as this isnt a daily driver, Im quite happy I cant use the phone, so i can listen to the engine note :) It also means it's kept as stock as possible, if I come to sell and that's what the new owner may want. All personal preference I suppose, but the more people I speak to, the more are tending to deviate much from originality, FWIW.
