Hi all
i am new to the club with my first porsche which is a white supersport targa. Does anyone have advice on how to get the best sound system? I dont have the original head unit and i have electric seats so i cant put a sub under the seat. I also dont want to compromise the rear footspace. I know there are few options to put a sub so has anyone managed to get decent bass out of a head unit / 4 speaker set up?
thanks

Wouldn't mind knowing any recommendations as looking to do the same with an 81 SC.

I want something that looks in keeping with the dash and period but has decent sound without hacking and fitting bigger speakers. I'll look for a system that also supports sub woofers that I'll put under the seats.

Car is a targa and could do with extra power and drive as I always have the roof panel off.

For those of you that are interested this is the system that I eventually opted for. Not that I have the stereo on that often but its great to blast out a good rock track if stuck in traffic. I went to five car audio specialist firms and received quotes ranging from 1,000 to 2,200 including installation but ended up getting Halfords to install the head unit, amp and the active sub for 105. I installed the speakers myself. I decided against the specialist firms because only one really knew what would fit and what wouldn't. That firm was also the most expensive and I wasn't looking for audiophile quality given the acoustics in the cabin.

All up the system came to 667, the sound is awesome and kicks out 670 watts peak power, 335 watts rms.
