Castle Combe Autumn Classic

Any South Westerners going to this event? I went last year....a bit like a Mini Goodwood Revival, Historic racing, a few stands and stalls and some great racing. Also a great turnout from PCGB members with cars of all ages on their Club Stand.

I'm heading up on the Friday in the Classic and staying at the Chippenham 'Prem Inn' [X(]

Problem is that club bookings have now closed so you can't get the infield parking pass, just general admission. I know because I have just tried! Anyone got a infield pass they don't need?[:)]

To park at the Club Section you don't need an Infield pass, just enter at Camp Corner entrance and drive up to the Club stand. I presume its the same arrangements as last year.

I've ordered my tickets using the Clubs Discount code but last year the Club stand was in the normal Camp Corner parking area, along with Lotus, Jaguar, Austin Healey etc etc. I've no idea what they mean by 'infield'

Me neither but that page clearly implies you need an infield pass to access the Club's stand rather than just rock up on the day and park with the other Club cars. I have emailed the local ROs for clarification.

Been on the phone to Combe today and all the stands have been allocated a pitch relating to advance ticket sales and no further passes will be allowed.
Having said that it might be possible to blag your way to the stand but we can not guarantee it and anyone without a pass may have to park in the general car park.
If you have booked through the club then you will receive a pass and the stand is at Camp Corner.
Look forward to seeing everyone there.

I've ordered my tickets via the PCGB site which gives you a link to the Combe website and also a Discount Code to use. This gave me £5 off each ticket.
I can only hope that the Discount code also automatically means you are issued with the necessary pass to the Club Stand as there were no other options or details.
As a note I ordered my tickets on 28th August but havent had them through yet.
Thanks
Simon

I am in the same position as tscaptain - ordered tickets late so did not get the discount nor the 'infield pass'. Understand from the above posts that Club parking is close to the Camp Corner entrance. I have received my tickets but of course no infield pass but will possibly try to get in the Camp Corner entrance anyway. Those that did order tickets in a timely manner what additional pass or instructions was received? Is parking here going to be restricted?

I've still not received mine. I spoke to Doreen at Combe who said they get sent out 2 weeks before the event. Hopefully should get them any day. I'll let you know what comes with the ticket. I know last year a friend came in his 997 and didn't have the necessary passes but go in ok
