Lesson learned... Buy from an OPC!

I bought a 2011 Cayenne Hybrid from a "specialist" in luxury motor vehicles 4 weeks ago. Their stock is Lambos, Porsches, Bentley's, RR's etc and my Cayenne was one of their cheaper models.

I'd been looking for a Hybrid, in black, with black interior and PASM for ages with no luck, until this car came up.

I picked it up and asked for the second key, which they said they would trace and send to me. I got home and realised the service book was missing from the leather wallet and raised this with them. (They had verbally told me about all the prior services before I bought it).

The day after I picked it up, the electronic parking brake fault lit up the dashboard, then the engine warning light came on. I booked it into the OPC to investigate and they have since found that there's a large oil leak from the engine and the locking wheel nut is missing.

The garage I bought it from has gone very silent. I was only given the warranty paperwork after really pushing for it and I'm still waiting for the warranty company to call me back.

I'm really saddened that I've fallen this unlucky. I wish I'd held out and bought from an OPC.

You can get it all repaired under the Consumer Good's Act as you legally have a six month warranty but you will have to give them the chance to repair themselves. Though I would suggest going for returning the goods as not fit for purpose or as described.

Hi all,

OPC has found lots of niggling issues with the car but the one that's confused me is
"Oil Filler Guide Tube Missing" part number 95810712201

This appears to be a cap or lid for the oil filter. (Please correct me if I'm wrong). OPC didn't go ahead with installing one or offer to, so I'm left with a quote of £125.25 but isn't it a really important part? Especially as the car is leaking oil from somewhere. (Could this be linked?)

Other issues include seized caliper bleed nipples, missing locking wheel nut, key battery needs replacing, engine tray bolts missing, tyre sealant out of date, door seal split and non-N rated tyres.

This is a tube that pulls out of the oil filler tube to help you not spill the oil.

did they not identify the cause of the oil leak
