Decisions

Waylander

New member
I have decided that as my input into this forum is now null and void, and the diy I provide is no longer good enough and attracts criticism even though I clearly state things that will and will not be done.

I will not be doing any more of those and posting them on here, if you with to find them come on TIPEC or 968UK

the folk that can do far better than me and have no problem in telling me can take over,

after over a 1 thousand posts mostly to try and help out I discover that I am just wasting my time and efforts,

Thanks to the friends and others on here that have made the last 6 years fun

any How To's that are on here will be deleted before they attract more derogatory comments and I will do that with my person as well,

to the man that contacted me last night from Germany for help, I have sent you my email and phone number please contact by that way

Regards

Hi Waylander
I'm very sad to hear of your decision, but please don't judge us all by the few. I for one have saved many of your diy articles in a 'Waylander' folder, I've haven't needed them yet though I know one day I might and that is reassuring. I'll follow you on the other sites and hope to see you again next year at the Goodwood 968 meet.

All the best for the future

Peter

Hi,

Alongside Peter I also find it sad that in a forum where we are all here for the same interests Waylander finds himself feeling this way.

I thoroughly appreciate the time and effort that anyone puts into posting DIY guides as stopping to take photos when all you want to do is crack on with the job then putting the guide together takes time, time that isn't paid and sometimes isn't appreciated enough by others until they need them. Waylander specifically produces some great guides and the engineer in me enjoys reading them even if I'm never going to do the work. I can honestly say your time and effort is far from wasted and sure his work will be appreciated where ever its posted.

As with any form of 'message' its easy to mis-intemperate how it was originally meant and even if it sounds ok as you type it a few badly placed words can make the difference between what would be taken as a joke face to face and people taking it personally. A modern day risk of the digital world I guess [:(]

Agree,wholeheartedly-difficult to explain that you read stuff just in case it's needed in the future but this approach has & continues to help me with any I tackle-all the best Waylander -come back soon!

I've worked on my own cars for over 35 years, but still wonder how you know some of this stuff. I can't think of many people that know what they're talking about and take the time to post about it. There has always been a snobby attitude from a minority of paid members on here...
