Should I be worried... windshield trim lifting...

Came across this while washing the car yesterday. No signs of any water ingress, but doesn't look good. Anyone else experienced this? Is it a glass out refit job or just bonding in new trim?

What year is the car? Early 996's suffered from this, and Porsche do a kit to fix it. Basically, it is a grey foam rubber cord which you use to pack between the seal and the body opening to push the seal back into contact with the screen. Here is the Technical Bulletin which covers the issue.

OPC in Bournemouth fitted a complete new rubber on my 996.2 a few weeks ago. They said they didn't take the windscreen out

well they said they didn't need to but I never saw them doing it

mine was coming away in the corner 6 months after they fitted a new screen

that happened to me, and ended up with a new screen as the inner has torn, which is bonded to the windscreen.....
