hi folks, have just got my key back after repairs , how do i resync key to my 911 carrera, i see so many different ways on forums, so far none work. key had gone thru washing machine. regards to all

Without meaning to be negative, it's probably for the bin.
Transponder chip is ok i take it?
I mean it still passes immobilizer

Elwyn,

Assuming the battery in the remote is OK then I think the synchronisation procedure is:
  • Unlock the driver's door with the key;
  • Open the door and insert the key in the ignition within 10 secs (not sure if it's necessary to turn on the ignition?);
  • Press and hold the central locking button on the remote control for about 5 secs.
If that doesn't work I think you'll probably have to take it to your local Porsche Centre - or an Independent with a Porsche diagnostic tester - so that it can be recoded.

I think it's time to get some professional help Elwyn..!

A diagnostic check should indicate whether or not the appropriate electronic module or circuitry is functioning correctly.
