Exeter OPC

This might make you laugh.
I was checking my tyre pressures in my garage recently and lost one of the little grey plastic valve dust caps. I had the garage apart but it just vanished.
So when I was going past the OPC this morning, I popped in to get a replacement.
They got one and charged me 44p.
I had thought to hear - "No, that's ok sir, on the house". Am I being naive?
Interested in your comments.
I'm afraid it falls in line with other disappointing interactions I've had with the centre. The other OPCs I've used over the years have been altogether much better.
Cheers, Rob

If you bought the car there recently it is unreasonable.
If you have your car serviced there it is unreasonable.
If you have no interaction with that OPC other than expecting a free dust cap it is perfectly reasonable.

Things certainly aren't what they used to be. Did the 44p include your 10% club discount on parts.....[:D] I need a new set of Porsche crested dust caps - heaven knows what that will cost!

Rob ... extremely disappointing, especially if like my local OPC they provide copious, free (excellent quality) coffee ... which I am sure would retail at more than 44p per cup !

I have answered my own question, btw. New set from the PC, TPMS compatible of course, £37 ( including club discount[:)]) £9 for a little dust cap with a Porsche crest seems very reasonable compared to a grey plastic job for 44p......[&:]
