It‘s the NEC Classic Car show again this year from Friday the 9th to Sunday the 11th of November: https://www.necclassicmotorshow.com/tickets

Once again, several R3 members will be going and unfortunately the hotel we usually use for the NEC is fully booked so instead we’ve decided to stay at the nearby Village Hotel in Solihull.

The plan is to travel down on the Friday afternoon, stay over Friday night and attend the show on the Saturday. Deb and Greg have booked the Saturday night too so any members wanting to make a weekend of it can do the same. Also if anyone wanted to just do the Saturday night then post up here and we can make sure that we all meet up in the hotel or wherever.

There seems to be loads of different offers for the Village Hotel on different days, I paid just £35 for a room and breakfast via their sale on this link: https://www.village-hotels.co.uk/offers/accommodation/autumn-sale/?awc=6537_1533814630_8c8d6fab86700555638bf44f173e18d6&utm_source=affiliate_window&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=47868 But they also seemed to have deals including food, prosecco, etc. so feel free to pick one that suits you!

Post below if you’re going and when and we can arrange a trip down together on the Friday or a suitable meeting point at the hotel or NEC itself.

I’ll be travelling down Friday and back Saturday if anyone wanted to car share (planned this time).

Spot on David, Deb & I are planning to stay both Friday & Saturday night at the Village Hotel, although we will only be attending the show on the Saturday.

Sunday is the 11th, Remembrance Sunday so we will probably head across to Knowle again to participate in the parade and pay our respects before heading back North again, therefore we won't be heading straight back on Sunday morning.

All members are welcome to join in our R3 travels. I would like to point out that we are not an exclusive group but a inclusive one. I hope that any one of our members who choose to either join us and stay at the same hotel or elsewhere for that matter can meet up at the Club hospitality unit at the NEC at some point over the weekend to join in the great craic, banter and madness that is R3 on the road.

As it is November most of us attending will be taking our daily drivers so please do not feel you have to take your Porsche.
