Through our R8 member Tony Brealey, Glen Paston, the Sales Director of Nielsen Chemicals, has invited us to a repeat of last year's visit which was a huge success.
Nielsen, a division of Reabrook Nielsen Viking, produces a large number of high quality car preparation products and the team there will show us some tricks of the trade to keep your Porsche in tiptop condition. Alan Mendelson's red 3.2 Carerra was used as an example of their skills and was beautifully transformed! He was delighted. They also want to show us a brand new product which is in development. We will be the first Club in the UK to see this product in use [:D]
There will be products available to purchase, at special discounted prices, which can be tried on your car before you buy. There will also be a prize from Neilsen for one lucky person on the day.
Numbers will obviously be limited for this event so please let Tom know as soon as possible if you want to join in (r8@porscheclubgb.com) or see us at Club night next Monday.

For those that have signed up to this Saturday's visit to Neilsen, please be at their headquarters at Moira, Swadlincote for 9.30 am for coffee and bagels before the visit proper commences.

I never thought that polishing a car could be so interesting, or complex.
But at least I (not a concours fanatic) now know that a wash, dry and application of polish/wax mix twice a year, is sufficient for a nice looking car.

Many thanks to all at Nielsen for the informative session and their hospitality this morning.

David

Hear, hear - very educational. Spent a happy afternoon trying out the products I bought - all good!
