Porsche Club France Classic Concours at Classic Le Mans

Anyone who knows me will know how I feel about Concours competitions. This year when I recieved the entry forms for the Porsche Clubs France area at the Classic meeting I saw an entry form for their Concours D'Etat, basically Street Concours.
I filled in the entry form mainly because I though that I would get a good parking place, (I did). Our car was the only one there covered with event stickers, from the 356 International, Porsche Parade Holland, the Porsche AG 70th Anniversary Sternfahrt and Stuttgart Celebrations and PCGB Classic Le Mans sticker.
I am pleased to report that first prize went to a 356 Speedster from Jersey, second to a French car and I to our amazement won third prize. That made two right hand drive cars out of the three winners.
I must say a big thank you to Region 17 RO Charlie McLaughlin who arrived with his cleaning kit and made EB look smart.
Now I expect every RO to clean my car before I enter their Concours, thanks Charlie and Landie Newton for arranging the entry paperwork for us to enjoy the event and the group hotel booking.

Ha. Fantastic result Robin. Great to see it there at the time; as you say, covered in stickers. Truly entertaining when you consider the days/weeks/months of effort others put in to try to win such things.. [:)]

(and I didn't Know Charlie had a new career......... [:D])

Well done Robin and JO.

After all these years they are hard core concours entrants at last [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Oh No ! its happened again!
Entered the Chiltern Regional Concours last Sunday and with the 356C won first prize in the pre 2000 category !

That's it now, I am never going to enter a concours ever again, I will now remove the decals and just carry on enjoying driving the car. Thanks to everyone who judged the car and voted for it and for your comments.
Lets get back to some proper Porsche enjoyment and stop worrying about what might happen when you drive.
