Problem with 996 radio

Can anyone help. I have a problem with my radio, when I turn the ignition on all is well, radio perfectly clear, the problem comes when I start the car, the radio goes off and I am left with a crackling sound like it's gone out of tune, if I switch the engine off and leave it for a while turn the ignition on it will work again OK until I start the car  then it goes off again. I have had some one look at it but he could not find a problem, he all the checked the connections. The car has a PCM unit fitted, sat nav working OK.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks jb1

If you’ve checked all the connections & aerial etc, then my first port of call would be the ignition switch at the base of the ignition lock ass which is a known issue, It’s a bit fiddle but an easy DIY as it says in the links below it’s a Audi part, I can no longer see it online at Euro parts give them a call it’s part No A40 905 849B
    Good luck
