Visiting your region

Hello, the better half and I are having a post Silverstone tour of the South Coast next week with one of our Porsches and will be in the area 22 & 23 July staying near Weymouth and was looking for any car or aviation recommended places to visit whilst we are there?
Any suggestions please?

Take a 35 mile drive up to Yeovil, visit the Haynes Museum in the morning then drive on to the Fleet Air Arm museum in the afternoon, both within a few miles of each other.
They are excellent museums and well worth a visit
 
Two great museums. It would be a shame to visit Dorset and not check out the famous Jurassic coast! Head to Charmouth and take a walk along the beach keeping clear of the cliff face, which is prone to an occasional slip.
 
You might also consider the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop near Salisbury, not very close to Weymouth but could be on your route from Silverstone to Weymouth. There's also The Tank Museum at Bovington.

If you like fish & chips then a visit to West Bay may be worthwhile, there you'll find several kiosks on the harbourside.

Im not in the region you are visiting, but would happily accommodate you for a pit stop either on the way down and/or the way back, if I am home and you use the A34. Im 7 miles north of Chievely services (M4/A34) off of the A34, and would like to think I can offer you a better beverage and waiting area! :) Would also like to see your 996, if you're using that :)
May not be around AM 22nd though, as will be heading back from a wedding

Message received, it will probly be mid-late Sunday afternoon. Don't stay in for us, but I ll call if we are nearby at a sensible time!
