Hi everyone,

Come and join the picnic!! If you fancy sharing your lunchtime (not lunch!) with other R10 members, please join me and as many others that make it, from 12.30 each day. I will find a suitable space as near my car as possible in grey area 7 or 9, so we can gather and chat, and you can start and end your lunch break whenever you like. Look out for my 1984 Guards Red 3.2 Targa (with whale tail) B520 WYX ( Wyxie), with the picnic area to be identified by a small white Porsche flag on a pole (if I can get it to stay up!.... otherwise just follow the sounds of merriment!!).

If you can, I suggest you bring at least food, drink and a folding chair for each member of your party (non-members very welcome). That's all I will be doing, but bring whatever you fancy to make yourselves comfortable!

At the R10 meeting last Saturday, I took names of the event attendees each day - the drivers' names follow. I am not expecting all of you on the list for lunch, so don't panic:
this is just who you might bump into over the three days...

I suggest also that if you fancy a social tea or coffee in the PCGB marquee, turn up there on any half hour (e.g. 9.30, 10.30, 11.30 etc), so there is more chance of seeing an R10 pal.

All three days - Mark Grimwood, Paul Ebbs, Manjit Aujla, Barry Barton, Neil Welch, Gary Tipping.
Friday and Saturday - Mike Calvert, Andy Willis.
Saturday and Sunday - Peter Leonard.
Friday only - Terry Sewell.
Saturday only - Jon Evans, Jeff Matthews, Mark Collin, Manuel Gamiz, Russell W.
Sunday only - Susan Johnson, Michael Hart, Tip Warner, Mike Pink.

On the list or not yet, please feel free to turn up, and if you have a moment, let me know via this thread.

Happy motoring!
Mark

Hi,
you can add me (and +1) for Saturday only. I think we'll join you for lunch. Not sure my folding chairs will fit in the car, maybe im not ready for Porsche picnics yet :)

Hi Mark,

Great idea, we'll be around all three days, so look forward to catching up with you.

Regards

Gary

I'm there Saturday (two tone 924) so will try and pop along as it would be good to meet people from other regions. Just need to remember the time, always found myself wandering round classic and paying zero attention to time!

Hi everyone!

What a great event the Silverstone Classic is... but boy was it hot, and I have lots of red bits to prove it!!

Thanks to all of you who were able to make the picnic - despite the flag being small and droopy, we had up to thirteen people at any one time, with several others just saying hello as they passed by.

I think it‘s something we can arrange for future events, so keep your eyes on the forum, and if you haven’t yet invested in folding chairs, I would encourage you to do so!!

Happy picnicking.
Mark
