My advice is to call Porsche Car Connect Customer Services 01282 473 732 and describe your connection problem. They should be able to sort it for you.

Has anyone else come across this problem?

I have Porsche Car Connect on my Android phone that has worked fine for the last 2 weeks (since I got the car). I went to open the app today which has a passcode to enter the app but it keeps crashing with an error of Car Connect Keeps Stopping, before the passcode is entered.

i put the phone in airplane mode and the app loads ok, but has no connection so shows nothing. If I then turn on the data connection, I get everything working as it should, so I thought I would turn off the passcode security. As soon as I go into settings and it calls the passcode and then.....crashes out with the same error above.

I’be sent the diagnostic reports when it crashes, but wondered if anyone else has experienced this.

Brian - I gave them a call and just in case anyone else has tried the app - there is a general issue and the app and portal are apparently down, expected to be back up by tomorrow.

Pleased to help. By coincidence, I also had Porsche Car Connect problems with my iPhone and 718 CS a few weeks after purchase. Following a phone call to Customer Services I got the same answer as you. I've experienced no connection problems since. Seems like a recurring fault with Car Connect.

....android update today....app release notes suggests some technical back end changes. App works as before now.
