Can someone post the date for the funeral of this part of the forum, nearly three months with out a post,

where is our register sec or even his Padawan.

good god this needs an arse kicking into life

I do look ?? on here, don’t post very often, i drive my car, wash my car and love my car, it’s a fantastic drive! The Yorkshire region is busy from March to October, it’s not that grim up north!

I did, but as I’m not a member they are not interested

and I do the same rob

wash it, drive it, fix it, service it, fix others 968’s and repair parts that are NLA, repair the outside temp gauges and all sorts of other bits

but nothing happens on here, no meets, no drive outs, no nothing

i do stuff for nothing, arrange shows and stuff for the 968 Uk forum guys and girls

I did look at 968 forum years ago, it wanted a bank account to confirm... don’t give mine to anyone unless essential, so never go on there, i noticed you have helped lots of people on here and 944s, I generally am the only 968 on Yorkshire runs

You can contact the forum owner direct and join without giving out your bank details

i work in card payment security in the retail sector, so can understand your stance on bank details

Well I'm often on here, but since you mention it, I saw your comment a while back about fitting the 6 speed gearbox to a 944. Does anybody know:

1. Is it a straight swap?
2. Was the later gearbox improved to eliminate the 944's chatter in neutral...story goes that early days Porsche fixed it under warranty, but it was so common that eventually they stopped!

The DMF in the 968 was used to quiet down the drive train but I guess it would be a fairly easy swap
But you would need the change linkage as it's different on the 968, plus a 6 speed gear knob

yes the ROs and RSs do it for free, but why take on the role if you don't actually want to do anything for the members?

Fairly sure the 968 torque tube is different to the 944 part, and the speedo trigger. Not sure if 6th gear is much different to 5th on a 944. I've never noticed transmission chatter on my 944 either.
