Hi I’m new here but anyway..... Having nearly finished my last project an mgb I’ve just purchased a solid, 944, 137k on the clock, anyway... I’m Having a nightmare with getting the thing going, having tinkered a bit I’ve found that both reference sensors are producing around 1077 And 1073 ohms.... all good, but when you crank you the car over, checking at the dme end of the loom there’s no voltage at all? just a bit lost with it all right now

Any suggestions welcomed?

Could it be a bad earthing strap? Also there seems to be a few suspect looking cables at the dme looks like something’s been disconnected ( I’ve attached a picture)

edit.... can’t upload The picture but post your email below and I Can email you

Does the tacho bounce when you crank the car

do you have sparks and fuel, you could be getting in deep before the simples

I think John's correct...DME will not pump fuel until it sees cranking speed of 200 rpm, I recall being the advice on here. Hope your battery is good!

Check the king pin on the distributor cap for corrosion where the coil lead connects, probably some corrosion on there with standing, it can cause havoc to running / starting..........trust me !
