Lunch Run and Cotswold Motoring Museum Visit – 12th August
On Sunday 12th August we are organising a visit to the Cotswold Motoring Museum in Bourton-on-the-Water preceded by a Lunch Run of approximately 2 hours for those of you who might wish to make a day of it and exercise your Porsches.
The Lunch Run will start from last year’s finish venue, The Flight Deck Café, situated in the control tower at Turweston Aerodrome, near Brackley. Plentiful parking is available. We will meet for coffee and cake at 10.00 where suggested route information will be available in the form of marked up extracts from O.S. 1:50000 Landranger series maps, offering either a Northerly or Southerly tour of the Cotswolds. Leave at your leisure but allow about two hours to arrive at Bourton-on-the-Water in time for a spot of lunch and the museum visit which will commence from 2pm. No specific lunch arrangements have been made as Bourton has several decent eateries and many other attractions. There is good information available on the internet. You may wish to book somewhere or at the other extreme bring a picnic! We have arranged dedicated parking in Bourton-on-the-Water courtesy of the local British Legion. The museum has an interesting collection of vehicles and motoring memorabilia, have a look at their website here.
In order to gauge approximate numbers please e-mail Martin Foster with your intentions and any questions at fozziemj@btinternet.com"
