Hello All,
I am selling my 991 Turbo 2014 and it is on sale at Hendon Way Motors (should anyone want a lovely example in amazing condition)
The sale that was happening has suddenly hit a speed bump and the car didnt sell! I have been offered a 1994 Carrera 993 in black with big miles 102,000m.
What needs to be looked at immediately? The car is well sorted apparently. Has history etc and the owner wants it sold.
I am concerned it is older firstly and maintenance costs. Secondly, I feel it will be far slower than I am used too. What are the upsides? Am I missing something?
I have owned many 911's but never an aircooled car.
Thank you!

No way is 102k big miles on a 993, if the car has been maintained properly... (but see above T911UK post too[:)])
Recommend you do much more research before you jump from one to another - make sure your reason for changing is not just £ signs flashing in your eyes [;)]... and it’s not all about speed, you know.

can you clarify about the reviews please on HWM? I cant see issues but can see theyre a bit more expensive.
Thank you

Have to be careful as the PCGB forum does not allow naming and shaming.

As said above, I would do a lot of research about them.

Have never and would never buy or sell from them.

Agree about the words of caution expressed above - try a google search or PH

Also, as much as I like the 993s - going from a near new 991TT to a 20 year +, 100k mile, 993 is going to be a huge culture shock.

Agree 100% with above comments
look carefully at anything regarding used car dealers....
and having owned a lovely 1996 993 which was fun .... I can’t imagine moving from a 991 TT to go there !! But if it’s an itch then scratch by all means but know what you’re letting yourself in for
personally I’d just buy a 993 as an extra fun weekend toy and keep a 991 everyday

you would be going back to 911`s roots
air cooled,
are best !!!!
it may be slower but you`d still have bags of fun in it.
