Congratulations to Porsche GT Team winning GT Pro, Le Mans

A faultless and very reliable run by the "Pink Pig" team.

Some rather dubious driving by Makowiecki in the "Rothmans" Porsche when dicing with Bourdais in the Ganassi Ford for second place in the class - exciting racing though..! Both French of course, so that's OK.[;)]

The Dempsey-Proton team did a great job bringing home the honours in GTE-Am too.

Interesting that you comment upon Bourdais and Mackiewecki, but the barging done by Andy Priaulx the previous lap seems to have been overlooked. I don't think BTC tactics fit well in Sportscar Racing.
Anyway, lets see how they do at Silverstone on August 17-18-19 weekend, should be good.

Agreed that door handling doesn’t befit Sportscar Racing Robin but I was a bit surprised that Mackowiecki was allowed to weave his way at high speed down the Mulsanne for several laps in an attempt to break the tow, and even had Bourdais on the grass at one point as an LMP2 car came past.

No knuckles rapped by the stewards in either case though but can’t see the Silverstone stewards being quite so lenient.

All good fun and thoroughly enjoyable from the grandstands and Porsche Curves. Once again a great weekend!
The Pig pre-race.

Great pic there Nick.

Looks as though the mechanics might have had to pay a visit to Mr. Bricolage for some steps though..!

attention to detail extraordinary but loved the retro look that Porsche did for the garage. The brick effect was all over Le Mans especially at the back of one of the main stands!
