Turbo in tank fuel pump

Paul, I removed the in-tank pump after draining the tank to repair some small holes. I was amazed how much rust I got out of the bottom of the tank with a small spoon after I had put the hose from a vacuum cleaner on "blow" to dry out the tank from the filler to where the in-tank pump had been removed, took about 15 minutes out in the open air.
The in-tank pump had a very clogged filter which I cleaned and tested the pump by running it for a few seconds to check it worked. Replaced it with some Hylomar sealant on its threads, after reparing the small tank holes.
That was about 5000 miles ago and so far so good.
Sorry I am unable to show you any photos, the process has beaten me.
Why can't it be simple like on the 356 Registry forum?
