I purchased a used 991.1 C2S Cabriolet last year from the OPC in Tonbridge and have really enjoyed it without major niggles, recently taking it on the PCGB April factory tour to Stuttgart, Prague and Leipzig which I thoroughly enjoyed.
One issue I have experienced, however, has been getting hold of the documentation from Porsche relating to Porsche Assistance that came with the car as part of the OPC package on purchasing it. The 2 year Warranty documentation was posted to me fairly shortly after picking up the car but at that time I failed to register that I had not received anything around Porsche Assistance (including the credit card size certificate showing the VIN number / Reg. No / Expiry Date / useful numbers which I had with my previous car (a 997 Gen C2S)).
Ahead of the Factory Visit in early April 2018, I therefore queried this with the original dealer in Tonbridge who indicated that they would request for another set to be sent out to me and also agreed to send me some generic documents in the post, which they duly did. They then came back to me saying that Porsche could take up to 4 weeks to provide the information but as it was 'not possible to speak to a human about it', they were reliant on the automated system doing its stuff. As a result, they also could not provide me any updates concerning it.
With 8 weeks+ now having passed and still no documentation, I have again gone back to the dealer to express my dissatisfaction with Porsche's apparent inability to service what on the face of it is a pretty simple request. He has said that he will chase it (again) but I also indicated that I would refer it onto Porsche Customer Services to highlight the problem.
Before I do this, has anyone experienced anything similar and if so, what number at Porsche UK is it best to use to try to get such a matter resolved?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Cheers,
Keith
