Im trying to eliminate cold start rattle by renewing the chain tensioner bolts (might work) on my 996.1 with M96/04.engine.

I have replaced the vertical one on the nearside (passenger side on rhd drive car) underneath of the engine, and the horizontal one on the offside (drivers side on rhd car) next to the oil filter (both have 32mm hex head) ... but there is a 3rd one with a hex drive (like Allen key) head that I cant locate ... I think this must be for bank 2.

I found a bunch if stuff online for Boxsters which shows it underneath the air compressor, which would be offside at rear of car for the 996 ... but removed the air compressor and nothing there !

Can any of you good folk enlighten me to where this is located please ?

I think it must be on the same side as the aircon compressor, but at the 'back' of the engine - the flywheel end. Item 35 on the parts list attached.
