speedometer reading and 16 inch wheels

Hello all,

I have a 1976 Carrera 3.0 and by looking in the manual I noticed that she came originally with 15 inch wheels, 6j x 15 at the front at 7J x 15 at the back. Optionally for 1976, you could choose to fit 7J x 15 at the front and 8 J x 15 at the back.

From the bills I can see that she is from about 1989 equipped with 7 j x 16 at the front at 8J x 16 at the back. It looks/feels absolultely fantastic BUT how dependable is my speedometer readout? Living in Nottinghamshire, there are safetycamera's (well) abundant and I just wonder how much margin I have to calculate in. Also, how dependable is my total mileage?

I would welcome any ideas and suggestions.[8|]

Shouldn't make much of a difference as the 16" run on lower profile tyres keeping the rolling diameter more or less the same. You can check on this website (v. handy !)
