Anyone go to Silverstone? I went - nice to see you Barry & Kerry. Didn't see any other R5 members - maybe I need some new glasses! Great event, think I'll go next year if I can make it.

How was it for you...?[8|]

Was there Saturday. Really enjoyed it. Weather helped but so much better organised than Ragley. No queuing to get in, guided directly to Boxster parking. Lots to see and do. Arrived about 10.30am and didn't leave until 9.00pm. best thing, you could get food and drink all day, anywhere without queuing!!!!!!! Sorry to be sarcastic but last year spent all day at Ragley without any food! Am a R5 member but never attended meetings. When i joined in 2007, emailed region to say hello as recommended by Porsche Club and didn't get a reply so I am an 'unseen' member.

The region was in a bit of a transition at the time so the e-mail may not have been seen. The easiest way to become an active regional member is to just go along to the monthly meets (that's what I did). Second Wednesday every month from 8 pm at the Deanwater Hotel just outside Wilmslow. See you there [:)]

the family and myself whent on the saturday, never got around to sitting down at the club stand tables, far too much to see [:D] only problem we had was the sun burn. arrived 8am and did not leave untill approx 10pm great day and very much looking forward to next year even if PCGB are there or not.

I second Roddys comments, come to some meetings and say Hi !.

Nick.

Sometimes email gets lost, or goes in to Spam filters.

I know last year a lot of officials were getting hit with tons of spam that was hitting the club - I was getting dozens a day myself - so it can be difficult to spot the real messages sometimes!

Go along to a local meeting as suggested. No need to be "unseen"! [:)]

Thanks all. Feel a bit more welcome now. Will locate hotel post code and find my way down there. I'm from north of manchester so hope i am still welcome!!!!!!!

Regards

Peter
