After being 'Cayenneless' for several years, starting to look for another - this time a diesel. Local OPC bemoans the shortage of cars (and of build slots). Search via Porsche and there are no new Diesels for sale. Look at the companies who own the OPC's and the odd one or two appear! Found one 20k above basic list (well spec'd but not that well!).
Are we back in the days of Porsche limiting supply and dealers regularly charging premiums or is there a less suspicious reason these cars don't appear in the OPC search?

This one's been knocking around for a few days... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2140217.htm

I really like the new Cayenne, and the Diesel appears to be the pick of the range - and that seems to be reflected in demand.

There may be a few ex-demos, cancelled orders, around, but the prices aren't going to be a huge saving on list and spec is very personal.

So, probably best to grin and bare the wait and order new. Of course the choosing/speccing process is all part of the fun[;)]
