rear wiper

I've turned my rear wiper on whilst it was frozen to the rear window, and something has broken so that the wiper moves around freely now.

I've not yet looked into the black box attached below the wiper and under the glass, but does anyone know if this is any easy fix, or have I broken something []

Hopefully chances are that you have managed to strip the splines, try removing the wiper and refitting it.......Do not turn the wiper on when the screen is frozen []

thanks guys. I've popped the plastic cover off the wiper arm, and a tightening of the retaining nut was all that was needed. Isn't it great when a fix is so simple []
