Rear brake discs

Can anyone advise whether it is possible to run 993 RS discs on a 964 RS? I know that subject to changing/removing/replacing the brake disc shields the 993 RS calipers will simply bolt on (but the 964 disc is not big enough). Also, if you can run 993 RS discs (query whether the handbrake works if the hub is slightly larger?) what would happen to braking performance? Would there be too much bias to the back of the car (I already run Big Reds on the front) and would the master cylinder be up to the job?

Thanks.

Not sure about the rears. I have 993 fronts with big reds all round.

think the rears are more than up to the job and not worth upgrading. Are they any bigger than the stds?

The 993 RS rear caliper is much bigger than the standard 964 RS. I also have the Big Red conversion (in fact I think the only thing big and/or red about the rear calipers is that they are repainted from black to red).

I have a set of brand new 993 RS rear calipers, and the rears on my car are well past their sell by date (so much so that they can not be overhauled), and just wondered if the 993 RS ones would work (they won't with standard 964 RS discs).

Any help/advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks.
