Region 13 Report for August 2010 at The Bowling Green

Just over a dozen at the Bowling Green this month, probably due to holidays. Paul Dunster brought along a friend, Paul Darke, (no relation to my e.mail address !), who is just enjoying his first Boxster and is looking forward to joining the Club. Also I was pleased to meet George Gallery at I believe his first meeting. Let's hope they join the regulars.
August was a busy month, with many events to go to. I joined the Concours gang at Porsche & Polo, which will probably have enough print elsewhere. I also, with several other R13 Members, either entered or went to Paul Seagraves lovely house for R9 Concours.
Over the Bank Holiday, I visited the usual VSCC gathering at the Royal Oak, Much Marcle, where we also held our R13 meetings for a while. For some reason, attendance here was down from past years but nevertheless, there was still a considerable number of old and desirable motors on view. Some of you have been there on new Year's Day.
The next day, we were at the Bredon Classic Car Show where we were joined by Derek Sharp with his Ferrari, parked next to us.
Following the interest in the visit to "˜Big Pit', I have booked Sunday the 26th September. Please look on R13 web site for details. You may get this copy before the date and If you want to last minute book, ring me immediately, or e.mail. See the new Porschefile for contacts. If you can't contact, please just turn up, I am sure you will be accommodated.
FORTHCOMING EVENTS.
"Big Pit" September. Sunday 26th , be there 10.45am Post Code NP4 9XP

Meguiars Visit in October. Saturday the 30th. Start 9.30 am for coffee and biscuits, so plan to fold your pyjamas early, to get there on time.
Time to think about "˜mince pies and coffee' !

John Lord.
